Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt notes with some sweet chocolate notes and vanilla and bourbon notes. Taste is also a great mix of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes with some vanilla and woody notes also perceptible. Body is pretty full with good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Well brewed imperial stout with some nice barrel-aging flavors.

The bottle is a bit challenging to open with the thick wax covering the cap. Once you pry it off, the beer pours the requisite black and leaves a very appetizing mocha head that does not fully dissipate. Beautiful.
The nose is of slight bourbon and much chocolate.
The body is creamy smooth and while sweet (leaving you with sticky lips), it is also bitter, with the bourbon not overwhelming. I feel that something is nor perfect here, but I can't pinpoint it, so I may be just finicky tonight.
It is a damn good beer.
