There’s a good reason we use Citra in so many of our beers. It has a way of tying together different hops and making them gel together, and it turns out it’s great on its own. Made with wheat and oats for body and haze, and hopped 100% with Citra and Cryo Citra for notes of mango, papaya and orange candy. Super tasty and drinkable, watch out!

A lovely light orange pour with a small head retention. The nose is of citrus, honey and hops.
The lovely taste of Citra hop comes right through, only to be attacked by biting hops and a small wave of malt. The latter two parts are what make this not quite as good a double IPA, as let's say Badlands or Bandit turns out. I don't know why all three of Rouge River's IPAs that I have tasted had to have this over the top bitterness and at times hop burn (like here). It messes with the balance.
Anyway, it's still nice and drinkable, but could have been better.
