This one is a little tough to review...it's a nice beer, I just wouldn't call it a dubbel. White one finger head fades quickly. Nice reddish, deep copper color.
Barrel comes through strong in the aroma. I don't really get much else there honestly.
Flavor is again a nice bit of vanilla and light oak (and bourbon) from the barrel. I really don't get a lot of the typical Belgian dark fruit esters. It kind of drinks more like and old ale or a lower abv English barley wine.
By no means a bad beer, just don't expect BA Chimay red or anything.

Small side note, anyone from out of town visiting nearby Voodoo Brewery, I highly recommend making the 15-20 drive out to Mortals Key too, absolutely beautiful place.
