On-draught @ the brewery.
Dark amber body. A bit of creamy head. Not much to look at.
Taste is toast, amber malt, bready sweetness, and subdued herbal hop flavour.
Not much of a black lager. I had to check they hadn't poured me their Vienna lager by mistake. I can't say this evokes any Nelson Sauvin hop character at all, which makes it quite the waste of the hop varietal.
Hides its ABV well if this brewery's accounting of their beers' ABVs can be believed...
