16oz pour at the brewery, tulip glass.
Deep red tinted copper, hazed to opacity, with a ring of white head.
Dries mango, candied orange peel, orange pulp, wheat, jasmine.
This is a sweet and juicy hop experience with a bit of tartness in the finish. Intense candied orange starts and before you know it you’re hit with tart passion fruit, then quickly on to a significant soapy bitterness. There’s a lot of flavor, but the frequent fruit IPA downfall of odd aftertastes haunts this beer.
Light to medium bodied with prickling carbonation. There’s a lingering aftertaste that is part orange juice, part soap.
If the odd aftertastes could be avoided, this would be a very good beer. The passion fruit flavor is on point.
