Can from John’s poured into tulip. Not much head but powerful cold brew aroma. Coffee porter it is.

From a can. Pour has a delightful coffee colored foam head with a dark brown and reddish body. Scent has an awesome roasted coffee smell to it (states Guatemalan blend on the can and it reminds me of the Guatemalan blend I had for breakfast, so that checks out). Other darker malt notes (and some rye?) are also evident, but the coffee rightly stands out strongest. Taste matches well with the coffee, bitter malt flavors (char/dark chocolate), and a touch of rye. Feel is smooth, on the heavier side, and a nice coffee/dark chocolate aftertaste (verging perhaps too much of the sweetness of the chocolate). A great offering, an excellent porter, and an enjoyable coffee-centric brew whose sum is greater than its parts.
