Renowned for its smooth flavor and rich amber color, NoCoast Beer’s Heritage Amber Lager is the quintessential, classic lager beer. NoCoast’s brewers were inspired by Brigitte, (a friend of NoCoast, who was born in Germany). Brigitte has a deep love for traditional lager beer and her Mother had a recipe from "The Old Country" that she kindly shared with team NoCoast. This traditional recipe inspired NoCoast to look back at American beer history and rediscover its heritage. The past informs the future, and Heritage Amber - Classic Lager Beer is where the two meet. Because The Details Matter. Prosit!

Aroma is caramel malts/toffee and mild fruit sweetness. The flavor is fruit/hint of apple, German/Euro malts/lager yeast and a mildly sweet caramel/mostly smooth finish.

Had on tap. Clear amber body with an off-white ring. Amber malts with mild roast, black currant and earth. Taste is malts the whole way, amber toned with earthy and lesser so roasty notes. Feel is malty and clean, darker toned, smooth

16oz can at Godfrey's in Ottumwa. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left some lacing. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee and some citrus. Sweet caramel taste with roasted malt and a mild bitterness.
