Popped in on a Saturday night. Don't be put off by the strip mall storefront. Friendly and lively inside, lots of locals. 8 GS taps, 4 guests. Food menu runs the gamut from snacks to plates.Beer flights an option too. Much better than expected. Definitely worth a visit, much better than 2 Tread. Funky hours though, closes at 9 PM on a Saturday....

i love checking out random little breweries in northern california, they always have this charm about them, and the beer is always so much better than it seems like on average than most of the rest of the country. this little spot is cool once you find it, tucked into a shopping plaza corner off the highway, but it feels comfortable inside, new smelling, and with a small bar, some outside seating, a large building but not a lot of seating, and a small stage with a guy picking the blues. mellow but somewhat nondescript as a taproom, like ive been here several times before, but its relaxed as can be and the service is good. they had maybe ten beers flowing, many hoppier offerings which i like for california, and some cool strong ales. i was most impressed with the classic american pale and the barleywine, but all the hoppy stuff we had was great. solid brown ale too. nothing really too ambitious, but good beer doesnt always need to be challenging, and that seems to be their motto here. they are also doing some smoked foods from the aroma in here, so tantalizing, but we unfortunately did not have time to indulge. great place to stop when you are trekking north, the hoppy beers were all good, and its literally right off the highway. worth checking out, it was fun and happening yet mellow enough for conversation, exactly what i need in a good taproom...
