An easy-going American IPA with a distinctive malt balance - ton of peach and stone fruit hop character.

Nice clear red/amber color pour with thin head that doesn't last long.
Flowery and lemon like aromas.
Slight rye like tastes. Bread and slight citrus notes.
Feels medium to thick in the mouth.
Overall above average beer.

Herbal and Fruity hops lay on top of a caramel malt body. Beer is amber in color with a nice rich head. Bitterness is medium with more emphasis on the fruit flavors or melon, peach, and, and cherry. Malts even have a bit of cocoa in them which is cool. Refreshing and flavorful A very interesting take on an IPA.

A: The beer is hazy dark amber in color. It poured with a finger high frothy beige colored head that has good retention properties and hardly died down, consistently leaving a thick head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of tea leaves are present in the nose along with notes of caramel malts.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of tea along with notes of coffee beans and caramel malts. A touch of sweetness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer tastes nothing like an IPA and is hardly hoppy at all. It tastes like a hybrid between a Coffee Ale and an Irish Red Ale.

This is their most popular, but it helps to know the philosophy. According to the founders (and brewmaster) the idea is to pull back a little from over-flavored styles and be somewhat subtle, but last. It is hoppy which I like a lot, and similar but more complex than Drakes Denoginizer, but perhaps a little more malt flavor.

I first had this at the brewery as part of a flight and it impressed. It's not a "big" IPA, but it's very, very tasty with a distinctive bite of hops Typically "red" in the title scares me as this seems to be a garbage pail for unclassified somewhat amberish beers, but I dismissed this quickly. It's apparently available in cans, though I've only had it out of the tap.
