This beer is seemingly a little *too* subtle at first, but give it a chance. It has a lot of hidden character that takes time to develop on the palate, and a strong but very smooth finish. Bright and dry, a little hoppy, and hint of crackers and nuts.

Ignore both the "wheat" and "IPA" components of the name when ordering this one. It doesn't really resemble either in the sense that you'd expect. It's got much more of a good pale ale/bitter flavor. At the brewery, it's worth getting a flight to see where this fits with the rest of their lineup. Good, but not their best.

A whole lot of fun happening here. Amber color, fresh grassy smell, hops & malt & wheat make this sweet but bitter, with a prickly/tingling mouthfeel. Interested to try more from these guys. The Good Hop, Oakland, CA, March 2017.
