both this and the kolsch in here were excellent, i have to get back in and try the rest of their stuff, these really took my by surprise, super professional and well done. this one is sort of on the line between pale ale and ipa, hazy but not crazy thick or underattenuated looking, just a delicate little cloudiness here, and a pale brassy yellow color, fizzy and quite light looking overall. the aroma here is great, citra and mosaic type hops to me, that classic tropical fruitiness, pineapple and tangerine and lemon zest, juicy but not overdone or spiked to oblivion, still rightfully restrained and in balance with a really laid back dry cereal malt profile. none of the heavy vegetals from the hops, no added weight or harshness from trying to kitchen sink this thing, and easy drinking the whole time. bright fruitiness to the hops, watermelon rind, honeydew melon, and pineapple candy, really appealing and only a little bit bitter there at the end, clean and crushable and really well carbonated. great stuff, far better than what almost everyone else out here is doing with these styles right now, save maybe outer range. a great glass of new school hoppy beer!
