Pours a very dark brown, pretty much black color. Despite being considered a sweet stout with donuts, this isn't sweet at all. Aroma is simple, giving off chocolate and bourbon barrel. The bourbon barrels are from a local distillery called Blaum Brothers and they do a nice job adding plenty of barrel character on the taste, giving bourbon spirit, oak tannin, and some vanillin, all while drying out the beer nicely. Get a nice chocolate presence from the donuts, along with roasted malt from the base. Not much depth from the base overall and the feel is just okay, but the fact this is so dry makes it very drinkable and enjoyable.
