Had on tap. A nice helles bock, but nothing special. Good amount of orange peel in the finish to go with german caramel malts and bready yeasts. A little thinner than expected, but not a bad thing with flavor profile. Smells and drinks like carb bomb, with biscuit and buttery malts leading

Pint at the brewery, took about 15 minutes to get served.
Dark saturated orange gold, slow rising carb trails.
Good surface coverage and lacing.
Bready aroma with a mild orange peel note.
Similar taste, lightly sweet and biscuity with a wisp of orange pith.
Medium bodied, fairly crisp feel with ample carb. One was enough though.
Overall this was pretty clean and tasty, an unfiltered version would be interesting to try.

Pours a rather opaque orange color. Thinnish white head dissipates steadily leaving no lacing behind. No lacing left as the beer is consumed. Thin residual ring of foam is left around the outside of the beer.
Smell has notes of floral hops, mild bready malts, a hint of lemon, and some notes of
Taste has notes of mild bready malts throughout, a mild lemony citrus with hints of floral hops on the back end. There is a touch of spice on the back end and a lingering mild sweetness reminiscent of fresh honey.
Feel is light and very drinkable. Nice medium bodied mouthfeel but it drinks lighter. Medium carbonation.
Overall a very nice maibock - very traditional and quite tasty. Too bad this is more widely available.
