A Wartega Family favorite. This ale is brewed with tropical hops and a smattering of citrus zest. It exhibits flavors of lemon, mango, grapefruit, pear, and pine.

On-draught @ the brewpub (i.e. Lineup Brewing). First pour from a freshly tapped keg.
Taste is interesting, going for something different from your usual classic hop profile. Juniper twigs, floral flavour, citrus zest, pear, green apple, papaya. The fruits don't coalesce into a gestalt harmonious whole, instead sitting unevenly alongside one another like in a poorly mixed cocktail.
Unbalanced as a result. Depth of flavour is above average. It's interesting but problematic, lacking the cohesion and vividness it needs to really stand out, but it's certainly inspired work and it's clear they're after a unique IPA.
Better hop selection and more focus would help elevate this brew. As-is, it's interesting work but plays more to fruit than it does to hops, emphasizing adjunct above core ingredients. Would make a nice entry level beer for the cocktail-drinker looking to make the transition, but as an IPA it's wanting. More a fruited ale than anything else.
