Now covering not only all the hoppy bases, Rock House brewers spare no expense with Amarillo, Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe and added peaches to create a fruit forward New England styled hop bomb that's now extra fuzzy.
Pouring with a pale, pastel orange glow, the extra pulpy, turbid appearance is capped with a short but dense peach meringue. Orchard fruit abounds as the scent swoons the nose with a complementing medley of tropical, citrus, herb and spruce. Pastry-like on the early palate, a pep of honey, cookie dough and cream of wheat frame the malt sweetness and bready textures once more.
As the malt shows a similarly slow fade as the base Fuzzbox beer, the hops waste no time rewarding the middle palate with a juicy taste of papaya, pink grapefruit, orange, pineapple, mango and cantaloup for a strong fruit punch flavor. But the ovrecast of peaches add a special succulent tartness lacking in the original. Also trending earthy with herb and fruit rind, the sharpness of fruit pith and peel bleed into a smooth but spicy bitterness of juniper, freshly shaven spruce, green tea, peach skins and geranium.
A light spice of gin helps to dry the medium bodied beer in order to provide a smooth but refreshing taste overall. A medium length linger of tropical and orchard fruit peels along with a light sap resonate with a hemp-like undertone and a fleeting taste of under cooked peach pastries.
