From an undated 16oz can into a pint glass. Can is labeled "Interstate" 295 IPA.
Pours an almost opaque dark orangish brown with about two fingers of light tan head. Great retention, ok lacing.
Smell is somewhat weak but picking up some pine and resin.
Taste follows...nice bitter pine and resin with a touch of malty sweetness.
Mouthfeel is somewhat sticky. Medium bodied. Quite drinkable. Medium carbonation Mild bitter aftertaste.
Overall, it's definitely "malt-forward" as advertised. Not so sure about "citrusy." Reminds me a little of Founders Centennial or maybe SN Torpedo in the look and somewhat in the taste.

On-tap 5/7/2017 at Mac & Walt’s in Norton, MA, served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep amber color, with a medium off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains grassy hops, citrus and caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out with a nice burst of grassy hops bitterness. Then a hearty but not too heavy malt character comes in. Some mildly sweet flavors of caramel and citrus provide a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid IPA to drink for a long time.
