Lark Brewing

In a small suburban mall, between Waterloo and Cedar Falls. An average, dark, suburban pub like atmosphere. There was an M.C. there, with a microphone, blurting out statements ad little snippets of music, both quite loud and not conducive to sipping craft beer(s). Had the Belfast Down Irish red ale and it was quite solid.

Outstanding product, just need to have more of it. Not more variety, just more in general.
Run out of crowlers too soon/often.

Small brewpub with a rotating selection. Geared toward a knowledgeable clientele. Modest selection of current offerings, which is subject to change. Knowledgeable staff who don't mind sharing technical details about the brewery's offerings. Solid lineup of hoppy offerings, with a few others available as well. Pleasant atmosphere, worth a visit.

Edit: The brewery has relocated to a mall in Cedar Falls. The new brewpub is spacious, with a private meeting room and outdoor patio seating. Excellent selection that includes several guest taps from other Iowa breweries. Great food and service. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem in Waterloo - wish I lived closer because there aren’t many better places to to enjoy a beer. Wide variety of styles that are well done. Head brewer is as friendly as he is skilled. Always grab a crowler or two when headed through Waterloo
