16oz glass at Beer Revolution YEGDT Oliver Square - glad to see more Lloyd brews making their way over here.
This beer appears a clear, pale golden yellow colour, with one finger of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat creamy eggshell white head, which leaves some dissipating fog bank lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.
It smells of grainy and crackery wheat cereal, some faint earthy yeastiness, and very tame leafy, musty, and floral noble hop bitters. The taste is bready and grainy pale malt, a lesser edgy wheatiness, subtle damp banana chips, a hint of chewed-out bubblegum, ethereal white peppercorn spice, and more understated herbal, leafy, and musky floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite laid-back in its quotidian frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and generally smooth, nothing really sticking its nose out, if that wasn't already patently clear here. It finishes off-dry, with a basic lingering wheaten character.
Overall - this is a simple enough version of the style, light for the summer that was, yet not thin or watery. Easier to drink than wax eloquent about, as I am finding right now. So I believe that I shall just enjoy the rest of this on a sunny early autumn afternoon.
