This place is a small convenient store located right near UNCG which does not look like much from the outside but while small is clean and well cared for inside... The majority (more than 90% I would guess) of the beer is stored in glass fronted cold cases and the beers are sold in 4/6 packs, singles, and bombers - the majority of the wall of cold cases on the right when you enter is dedicated to craft beer.
The beer is stored cold and there are not a lot of windows, so the beer is not as likely to be light-struck as in some other locations I have visited. The cold cases are well light allowing you to easily see what is available. Beers all seemed to be well within date codes and the seasonals are the current ones.
The gentleman that I chatted with on my visit this morning was knowledgeable about beers, quick to let me know some of the more desirable beers they had (some of which other area shops ran out of on the day of delivery), and quick to ask if there were any beers I thought they were missing from carrying. He was very friendly and due to his assistance, I was able to pick up a couple of beers that I thought I had missed this year.
Not the largest selection but a well thought out and curated selection focused on the styles the gentleman I spoke with is most familiar - since the turnover is not as high as at some other shops, not as much volume of IPAs (still have a number of IPAs but more limited quality of each so they stay fresh). Pretty decent sized selection of stouts and a good representation of NC beers.
