A Canadian take on the Belgian dubbel by adding maple syrup instead of candied sugar.

Appearance - Pours a rusty red with a finger of bubbly white head.

Smell - earthy, leafy, floral, and herbal hops, caramel, raisin, plum, fig, bready malts, maple syrup, and earthy yeast.

Taste - earthy, leafy, floral, and herbal hops upfront. The caramel, raisin, plum, and fig follow suit. The brew then goes into the sweetness from the maple syrup and is rounded out by the earthy yeast.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the dubbel elements and maple syrup lingering.

Overall - An interesting take on the belgian dubbel style by replacing candied sugar with maple syrup. It was done very nicely as the maple doesn't overpower the brew.
