For this edition of our delicious coffee stout we used freshly roasted single origin Bolivian coffee from Shuswap Coffee Company. It brings a bold flavour infusion of dark cocoa with light fruity notes. Enjoy this full bodied stout on a cold evening - or for breakfast. We don't judge.

This beer is absolutely amazing. I was very surprised at how well the coffee was done with this beer. It smells entirely like a good dark roast. The look is great but there isn't any head lacing. The taste of this beer is very unique. I've had many coffee stouts and nothing comes close to this one. It's surprisingly crisp and refreshing with perfect carbonation. It's loaded with the great roasted malts that make the best stouts, and packed with the best coffee flavour I've ever experienced in a beer. It's up front and lingers into the aftertaste but is somehow not overwhelming at all. This beer is not the most complex as it is just a standard stout malt/hop blend with coffee added but the balance and overall taste is so much more than I expected. At $18.50 CAD for 2 litres this is an amazing beer. So much better than I anticipated and this legitimately competes with world class stouts. Thought I was going to try a random craft beer but I'm definitely going to buy this again and would recommend anyone with access to it gives it a try.

Coffee stout with Shuswap Coffee Company.
Pours clear black with 3 fingers creamy/tight bubbly brown head.
So much coffee on the nose with roastiness, hints of cocoa and a touch of smokiness - a bit of bready malt.
Taste smooth rich coffee, roasty malts, brown bread, dark chocolate with a touch of espresso bittersweetness.
Smooth and creamy medium full mouthfeel with a brisk and prickly carbonation leaving a wonderful sweetened coffee lingering on the palate.
