Rumplestoutskin is our delicious breakfast stout, brewed with barrel aged coffee. For this iteration we went all out. Patrick took delicious Indonesian green coffee beens and aged them for two months in our Apple Brandy barrel that previously housed two imperial stouts. The beans were then roasted to perfection by our friends at Calgary Heritage Roasters.

Outcast's Breakfast Stout but with apple brandy barrel aged coffee - tried side by side with the base beer.
Pours a very dark brown edging to black with 2-3 fingers of tight bubbly tan coloured head.
Aroma of bright and roasty coffee, hints of chocolate malt and just a touch of an earthy fruity/berry note drifts in.
Creamy sweetened coffee on the palate, a little bit of bittersweet cocoa, earthy hops and finishing with a subtle roasty espresso bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel - creamy and bittersweet coffee lingers. Really good, but frankly the base beer is fuller and more complex and overall a bit better.
