Anytime I see a Rauchbier I have to give it a try. So this was no difference!
Enjoyed on tap at the P.Nut.
Smokey and then some. I enjoyed it, but it’s not for the faint of heart.

Handsome dark amber brew with plenty of foam in the Timmermans goblet. Spritzy with a light body. Warm and malty with just enough sweetness. This is so good, it’s distinctly flavored, and smoky but mild. The smoke tastes like fruit with a s;picy note. Highly drinkable and a way better than average Rauchbier. Tangy and mellow. From the 32 oz growler filled at the brewery taproom.

Growler from the Growler Guys.
Copper color with a dense, offwhite head with good retention and lacing this looks solid. The nose is mildly smoky, wet and mildly earthy, a touch medicinal. This pairs wonderfully with the earthy and mildly grassy hops and a bready, toasted Munich malt. The palate opens mildly sweet with a touch of caramel, bread and some smoke, wet and earthy. A little wet wood like too. The mid palate has a little more sweetness, dark honey and some mild smoky sweetness. The finish is clean with lingering smoke, bread and hops. Light in body and moderately carbonated, this beer is incredibly clean and a joy on the palate - clean, soft and brilliant. Excellent stuff.
