Poured from 500mL bottle into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: rich, dark, amber-brown hue with a crystal-clear body and two fingers of frothy ivory foam with pretty decent retention. Not a ton of lace left on the glass, but still quite pretty.
Smell: lots of malt character; it's bready, caramelly, and perhaps a little biscuity. Good, but to me it feels just a little bit heavy for the style.
Taste: very bready indeed; there are some caramel and light toffee elements that make this is rather sweet bread indeed. It's not bad, but to me this is more like an amber ale, or perhaps an altbier, rather than a crisp Vienna lager.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a big carbonation and a good creaminess. Perhaps not 100% to style, but I like it.
Overall: this beer doesn't have a lot of flaws, but it doesn't really feel like a crisp, dryish Vienna lager to me. So, not bad, but not really what I'm looking for in the style.

16.9oz bottle poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very dark brown, bordering on black, that was still clean and clear enough to see my fingers on the other side of the glass. There was about 3/4 inch of just off-white head that had moderate retention and light lacing.
The aroma was sweet , slightly caramel-y malts up front with some soft, floral hops behind that.
Fairly similar on the tongue; the caramel was a bit more noticeable, and the hops had a slight spice.
The body was smooth, even, and had a slightly sweet finish.
Drinkability was very nice, it would good as a sipper with dinner, or a gulper to refresh.
Overall, yet another great brew from the Nut!
