Sampling a 12 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. No date stamp that I can find on the can.
The beer pours a clear straw yellow color, very light from the can and settles into my glass with tints of gold.
A fizzy bleached white head of 1 cm foams up and fades to the thinnest of edge layers and several active streams of carbonation rising from the bottom of my glass.
Aroma is some faint crackery malts and a bit of white grape, with very mild spicy hops character. Nose is mild all around, but those are the scents I detect.
First sip reveals a light body with smooth texture, bordering on watery. Fine tingly carbonation tickles my palate. Beer drinks super easy on the physical traits. This is sort of what I expected for the style.
Flavor is similar to the nose and is also pretty mild. I get some crackers and a bit of biscuit dough. Hops are again spicy but mild. Finish is some lingering hop character and fairly dry. Never any ABV hints and the beer drinks fast and my mug is almost empty before I finish this review.
Pretty much what you would expect from a light lager.

Moderate level of white head. Light, golden straw color. Light level of floral hops and a little mineral like and a little rosy hint, behind the light toasted malt base, for both the aroma and taste.

On tap at P.Nut.

A clear light yellow with a dense white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is solid, a light blend of cracker crisp straw and base malt, a firm hoppy bite with lemon and a little mint. The palate opens crisp, clean, snappy and lovely. A firm hop bite complements the snappy base. Drying, crisp, clean on the finish. While perfect for the style, I don't see myself teaching for this over the pils.

Clear, bright pale gold with rings of foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Crisp and sudsy mouthfeel. Aromatic with straw and faint herbs and grain in the nose. The slightest bitterness provides a welcome contrast. Flavor is not much, but there is a hint of malt rather than the club soda taste.

One aspect that adds to the pleasure is this is not at all sweet and corn tasting. It's hard to find fault with this "Lite" beer. Chuckanut excells at the more restrained styles. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at the Skagit Airport location.

Served in half-litre Willi Becher. Poured a clean, clear pale gold color with 3/4 inch of white head that had Moderate retention and light lacing.

The aroma had a very light grain base, and a very, very light touch of hops.

Same on the tongue, just better defined.

The body was crisp and smooth, with a dry finish.

Drinkability was very good, as far as "Light" beers go.

Overall, a huge step up over the mass produced lite brews. Worth grabbing if that's your jam.
