Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clear and clean brown color, with a light, slightly tan head that dissipated too quickly and left just less than moderate lacing.
The aroma was sweet and malty, but not overly so. It was just about where i expected it be for the style. The taste was very good, better than a lot of American versions of this style. The flavors were the expected malty and sweet, very well balanced, with a slight tingle of hops on the finish.
The body was smooth and full, exactly what should be expected from the style. Drinkability was top-shelf. If you like the smooth, easy, friendly, comfortable and companionable beers that are often missing in the U.S. brewing scene, this is your beer. Overall, a wonderful beer that you should try to obtain, but will take some effort to get.
