On tap at the PDX taproom today. Have heard this beer is very limited (and supposedly their first ba beer), and so was quite pleased to see it available by the glass (was told that roughly 200 bottles will be released at the upcoming anniversary event).
The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, this is an attractive smelling ba stout, but it's not what I would call a blockbuster. There's an attractive aroma of dark coffee, vanilla, light burnt toast and some underlying bourbon. The flavor profile replicates the nose in this moderately sweet impy stout, but with a light underlying roasty quality as well. Mouthfeel is where this beer really shines, as the beer is very, very smooth on the palate, with a long finish. There are no sharp edges in this beer, and drinkability is flat out terrific. This would be an easy beer to drink entirely too much of.
Very nice beer from the folks at Chuckanut here. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to sample it again at some point.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
