Growler from P.Nut
A redolent golden yellow with a dense white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose is excellent. Closer to the Helles than a "true" kellerbier in that it doesn't have the soft, warm yeast notes and conditioning i associate with the style. However, this adds enough to the Helles to be compelling outright and arguably better. Doughy, snappy, clean with bread, lemon, a soft yeasty note and a confident sweetness that is noticeable and appreciated, following the Marie. The palate opens clean and soft with the doughy, lightly fruity bread note working beautifully here. Lemon, earth, soft hops. Clean, snappy yet a little doughy on the finish. Delicqte yeast character on the finish. Sublime.
