Served in straight pint glass. Poured an attractive clean, clear bright copper color with just a thin cap of off-white head that had low retention and no lacing.
The aroma was all mildly sweet malts, with no peat or hops. The flavors were also straight up malts (according the breweries description http://chuckanutbreweryandkitchen.com/master-beer-list/325-scottish-ale.html , the Scots didn't want to buy hops from the English).
The body was very nicely smooth, although a bit sweeter than I would have liked, and had a slightly sweet finish. Drinkability was very good. Overall, a very nice brew. Try it if you see it.
