Visited Chuckanut on a day trip out of Seattle. It's a nice brewery with a good selection of beers. Was able to get a Grodziskie for the first time! A smoky, lower-alcohol style from Poland. People were friendly and they sell merch as well.

I visited Chuckanut’s new(ish) brewery location a week ago while I was up in that neck of the woods. I’d been to their old Bellingham spot years and years ago, but never got around to seeing their new facility. The space is a warm and welcoming taproom that shares a building with the brewhouse; you can see some of the tanks at work, which I always like. It’s not huge, with maybe half a dozen tables, a bar, and some wall bar seating too, along with a nice outdoor area.
There were 11 beers on tap when I was there, plus a guest cider: Kölsch, light lager, Japanese lager, a Citra Pilsner kellerbier, Italian Pils, another unspecified Pilsner, rye lager, Mexican lager, Mexican dark lager, a West Coast Pils, and a Vienna lager. So, lagers are, and have always been, their deal up at Chuckanut! The quality of the beers I’ve had here are typically good, but perhaps not outstanding. Service at the bar was very friendly, though!

Big old barn of a place in an industrial area by the airport. Straight bar opposite the entrance seats about 10 with some tables inside and more on the grass outside. Windows on the right provide a view of the brewhouse. 10 lagers (their forte), a guest IPA and a cider on tap. Friendly bartender.

Out near the woods, by a small airport, which there is no sign of, on a Sunday, at least. Medium small taproom with much window space and homey, lodge like interior. These folks brew almost exclusively German beer styles. The service is good and friendly and so is their Maibock.

Dropped in here after a visit to Garden Path. Midafternoon on a Saturday. Had a robust porter and a dopplebock and a citra leaf pilsner. Bartender was friendly, place is nice. They specialize in lagers / German styles, I think, so if that's your jam the selection is pretty good, but you're probably not likely to find an IPA or a sour. They make what they make very well, without exception in my experience.

Small tasting room with some outdoor seating. On the site of Chuckanuts production brewery. Mellow and slightly industrial feeling to the room. 9 taps of the breweries excellent Lagers. Across the street from Flyers and just down the street from Garden Path. Makes for a nice little brewery trio visit.

Who would have thought that a small regional airport industrial area would be home to three brewing facilities? Besides Chuckanut there's Garden Path and Skagit Valley College's Cardinal Craft Brewing.
Chuckanut is one of the most esteemed German-style breweries in the Northwest, so it's no surprise they needed more brewing capacity. Supposed to be 15,000 barrel capacity here compared to just 3,000 at the Bellingham location. Hence the South Nut taproom.
This is the barn/industrial ambiance but big windows and a large outdoor area. Up to ten taps with the usual Chuckanut brews plus a couple of seasonals. Growler fills. No food but they host food trucks during prime time or you can bring your own.
