Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. No date on the can.
Appearance: kind of a dark purple-brown hue with minimal head and blueberry chunks. Even for the style, it’s not the most appetizing-looking beer.
Smell: I’m no expert on dragonfruit, but the blueberries in this thing come through nicely. Less like a blueberry pie, and more like … blueberry soda, or grape soda even.
Taste: while the aroma is candy, the flavor does have some distinct earthiness to it. The blueberries are there, along with a hefty dose of sweetness and some tartness at the very end, but I find the earthiness grounds it well (no pun intended).
Mouthfeel: medium body with a light carbonation and an okay creaminess.
Overall: this is more like fruit juice than beer, but hey, that’s the style. This beer doesn’t look great, but it’s pretty tasty.
