Chill haze pale yellow with a moderate white foam head that settles in lumps to a bubbly collar leaving layers of lace.

Hoo wee this is intense of dank weed resin and even spruce tip. It actually starts of mild farmhouse hay with a little brett horse blanket pairing with touch of Cheerio grain and wheat, but the intensity of the fresh evergreen leaves a substantial impression.

This really puts into perspective the pine notes you usually associate from the hops in West Coast IPAs, as it's more verdant and vibrant here, as well as less bitter. Yet it also brings hints of mint and wild herbs, and is only delicately semi-bitter. However, there are qualities within the evergreen that at times emulate characteristics of mold, and I hate having to say that, but my old lady made that association right away, whereas I was focused more on recollections of trekking through forests blanketed by pine needles. However, once it enters your mind, it's hard not to notice. That said, I was still able to get past it in favor of all its redeeming qualities.

The medium-light body has a sparklingly full crispness and finishes just wonderfully semi-dry.

500 ml. bottle.
Brewed Feb., 2021.
Bottled June, 2021.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one and a half inch white head over a light golden body with some lacing. Nose of slight citrus, a bit of pine, and traces of herbal/earthy/floral notes. Taste of slighter citrus and more pine; think slightly funky dried pine needles in your mouth with a side of earthy forest floor thrown in for good measure! Wonderful feel as per usual from VG. Overall, yet another gem from out in the NEK of Vermont.
Cheers!
