Appearance: Arrives with a slightly hazy goldenstraw capped by a one finger head; decent retention and splashy lacing
Smell: Barnyard funk with oak and grapefruit pith
Taste: Grapefruit pith an barnyard funk with a mineral tone; oaky, through the middle, with a tart finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Mighty impressed by this brewery

Really appreciating the consistency of Wunderkammer that I've experienced so far. This one has that same balance of rustic, bretty saison character and lacto tartness without being vinegary. The yarrow adds a unique and delicious herbaceous/butterscotch note that was surprisingly noticeable -- I feel like adjuncts like this (such as the sumac in Wunderkammer's Found Object 3) often get lost in the other aromas/flavors. Not so here.

Purchased at Parkers Pie - this beer is best in class of the wilds.

500 ml bottle.
Brewed Jan. 2021.
Bottled Oct. 2021.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a slightly hazy straw colored body with some lacing.
Nose of earthy damp hay with a bit of citrus and very slight oak.
Taste of citrus with a real nice minerality and slight oakiness.
Finish of pink grapefruit tartness and slight oak.
Mouthfeel is near perfect, as expected at this point from Vasili.
Overall, another fine example of a wild ale from Albany, VT that shouldn't be missed.
Cheers!
