Murky dark brown appearance.
Medium light carbonation with a just above average body.
Aroma is roasted malt, roasted coffee beans , mocha candy, very, very light burnt wood/char.
Taste is almost a little sour which quickly turns to burnt wood/char/ash, which lingers and dominates. Almost a bit dryand with the aftertaste really dominating.
Definitely a very well done beer thats worth trying.

Icarus & Reel (NJ) un-retired this in a Nitro edition. Canned 12-20-20.
a) Low carbonated but thick tan head over an opaque black body that laces well.
s) Silky coffee and chocolate, a bit of char.
t) Adds the lactose smooth sweetness, more smokey char. Balanced while sweet.
f) Creamy, dreamy.
o) Glad they brought this collaboration out of retirement this hoiiday season.

Can to Snifter.
LOOK: Pours dark black with a medium beige head. Good Retention.
AROMA: strong coffee up front, maybe a hint of chocolate late, but any roasted malts are covered up by coffee.
TASTE: Again mostly coffee.
