Traded for this pretty recently as I was eager to give this a go. All of the other beers that I had from Icarus recently were quite enjoyable and this might have been the best of the bunch. Smooth, flavorful, and easy on the palate, this had a hidden alcoholic presence as the range and intensity of flavors was spot-on from start to finish.
Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was a muted goldenrod with a moderately sufficient head topping it off. Very little lacing remained as there were scattered hints of a rig about a quarter of the way down the side of my pint glass. Loads of tropical fruit and candied citrus in the aroma as the taste added blueberry and fruit juice into the mix. Dank, earthy, and nicely slick, this featured it's three hops nicely as this had a nice bitterness and burn to it that complemented everything else wonderfully. My only wish for this beer was that it had less sediment at the bottom of the liquid and less burn down my throat once I finished it off but that wasn't much of a deterrent from the Scottish Golden Promise Malt and oats that gave this just enough sweetness and body to counter the heavy-handed fruited nature that fully emerged once this warmed up.
Yes, there was quite a bit of alcohol here and I felt it long before the last sip but it was on par with everything else that this had to offer. The carbonation was light and the aftertaste was just slick, tangy, and outdoorsy enough to make up for it. Canned on 6/30 with "DREAMER OF DREAMS" written below it, it's brews like this that have me seeking Icarus and enjoying the results.

Can to snifter. A sampling of 5 new NJ cans on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
LOOK: hazy orange yellow, creamy off white head. Good retention.
AROMA: wet soil, lemon, grass,
TASTE: mix of citrus and tropical fruit with a lean toward the citrus. orange, some mango. light touch of pine. well balanced flavors.
FEEL: ok carbonation. medium body. smooth.
Pretty nice. 2nd is up for grabs between this and Icarus Burgee.

Decent beer without all the bitterness of some IPAs. Very drinkable in a summer night. Also very nice can art as well - quite impressive. Solid beer!!
