Introducing Nitro Kalashnikoffee! For our first ever Nitro Canning we went with our 14.5% Russian Imperial Stout with Toasted Pecan Coffee sending its creamy body to all new heights! Kalashnikoffee is brewed with English Floor Malted Barley, Rye, and a blend of intense Roasted Malts as well as Clover Honey and Brown Sugar. Post fermentation we then condition on Toasted Pecan Coffee for added rich coffee notes.

a: silky jet dark matte black color with a nice 1 finger tan head
s: sweet rich caramel, roasted malts, soy, and cola syrup. coffee beans, lactose, molasses and toffee. a touch of dark sweet berries and generic wood. finish is sweet with a kiss of coffee
t: smooth sweet caramel, roasted malts and milk chocolate upfront. cola, soy sauce, and molasses behind. fig and dark berries in here a little bit as well. a slight bitterness from roasted coffee beans, and some alcohol tinge at the end (not surprise given the abv)
m: heavy, silky sticky sweet mouthfeel. this says nitro, but it doesn't really have that nitro feel to it so i need to ding it a little for that
o: huge beer that drinks too easy for a 14.5%. it could use a little more coffee in the flavor, and a touch more of that nitro in the mouthfeel. not bad, but could use a little to just push it that little bit extra

Canned on 3/10/2020. Poured into a stemless snulip. It pours a very dark cola color with a huge, light khaki-colored nitro head. The fragrant nose features freshly-brewed coffee, roasted malt, brown sugar, honey, and nuts. Wow, it this tasty! It opens with rich, fresh coffee, brown sugar, and pecans. As it warms in the glass I'm also tasting honey and hints of dark fruit. The flavors are distinct but rather mellow and they blend very well. At the finish there is burnt coffee, and bitter, earthy char more reminiscent of the standard version of Kalashnikoffee. I think this variant is a bit sweeter. Being on nitro it's smooth as silk with low/moderate carbonation, and it certainly doesn't drink like it's 14.5% ABV. I really have to pace myself. Overall, this variant has the same big flavors as the original but it's more easily drinkable.
