Pours very dark with minimal head. Nice aroma of chocolate, roasted dark malts, bourbon barrel. Flavor is sweet, milk chocolate, lots of barrel essence, gobs of caramel, not boozy, I get luxardo cherries on the finish. Not your typical imperial porter - delicious. Has a great thick texture - chewy. Overall this is a delicious BA beer. Reminds me of an aged BCBS, but much smoother. These guys nailed the barrel aging - I get a lot of barrel flavor. And the 10.5% abv makes it so much more drinkable.

Bottle to snifter.
Look: dark black color,
Medium capuccino head, excellent retention.
Aroma: lots of oak and bourbon. Black licorice,
Taste: oak, vanilla,bourbon, leather,
Feel: mostly full body (85%), pretty smooth. Dry finish and significant alcohol burn.
Very nice porter. A bit hot, but lots of character.
