Picked this up recently at the ShopRite Liquors in Little Falls, in large part because this was part of the nationwide fundraiser for Parkinson's research. This was also a collaboration with Bent Water and although I haven't had anything from them, this end result was a full-bodied, enjoyable brew that indeed felt like it was dry-hopped, but not in the least bit intense or overdone.
No surprise that this had a bright, golden hue to it that shone nicely when held up to the light. A nice amount of carbonation rose up through it as it made up for the lack of lacing, with only a few dots that faintly made out a ring lingering near the top of my glass. Sweet stone fruit, dry-hopped exotic hops, and a bit of yeast emerged in the mellow nose as the taste was more lively and inviting. Some peach, herbal tea, dewy forest, hints of Noble Hops, and deep fruit cocktail emerged on the palate as this almost felt like an India Pale Lager - which was not such a bad thing! Just a bit skunky in nature, filling and doughy like bread, and new to the senses, this wasn't like a Pilsner that I've ever had before but was still reassuring enough that it flew out of my glass.
Couldn't detect the alcohol here as I could have easily had another if it was on hand. Dated 5/13 on the bottom of the can with "DRINK FOR A GOOD CAUSE" written above it, this was good beer that did the foundation well, and reminded me of why Icarus is still one of my favorite breweries here in my home state.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
