Dark cola pour with a lightweight head that barely rims the glass. The nose is chocolate and rye. The flavors roll out beautifully, like a choreographed melody for your palate. Vanilla and sweet maple syrup appear upfront along with a gentle rye bite and dark fruit flavor. Then coconut rises up for a bit before chocolate takes over for a prolonged finish. Mouthfeel was a bit thin for this type of Imperial stout but that's splitting hairs. This is one delicious dessert stout.

Look: It has dark brown coloring with a brown head. Head retention is good.
Smell: It has aromas of chocolate and roast up front with some bready elements. There is also some light spicing.
Taste: There are chocolate are roast flavors with coconut. There are some bready elements with noticable alcohol. There are traces of maple syrup and marshmallow like elements. There are also some spicing elements with dark fruits.
Feel: It has a full body with strong alcohol waring and bitterness in the finish.
Overall, a quite complex beer with the flavors which work well together.

can to snifter.
nice mellow imperial stout.
cocoa, raisin, roasted malt, hint of molasses like sweetness offsetting the cocoa bitterness.
feels maybe a little thin compared to expectation.

Pours dark, minimal head. Scents of smoky, roasty dark malt. Taste is roasted dark malt with sweet notes of chocolate, vanilla, and maple. A bit of thick oiliness, big bodied, well disguised booze. Pretty good.

12oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, filmy beige head, thin ring. Chocolaty aroma, sweet, light boozy notes. Taste is chocolate, Hershey's syrup, faint roast, light bitterness. Maple and vanilla not very noticeable.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a thin khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted and rye malt, graham crackers, cocoa, vanilla and a touch of coconut. Flavor follows with dark toasted and rye malt, vanilla, light chocolate and coconut. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; nice mouth feel. A rich imperial stout with a nice balance of chocolate, vanilla, coconut and a little maple syrup. Moderately sweet, and gives the impression of a pastry stout, but without the cloying sweetness. Great silky mouthfeel and the ABV is well covered. Well done. A nice riff on a classic Joy Division album.
