American Barleywine brewed with Maris Otter and a touch of rye, hopped with Galena and Chinook. Aged 15 months in ASW Twin Fiddler Toasted barrels, then another 7 months in Lairds Apple Brandy barrels. Complex layers of toffee and dark fruit wrapped up with subtle notes of baked apple, warm spice, and vanilla.

This is sweet and intensely boozy, exactly what I'm in the mood for. Both the bourbon and apple brandy are noticeable, the brandy coming on strong at the finish, and they work together. There are hints of caramel and raisin, but this absolutely all about the barrels.
