Poured from 375mL corked & caged bottle into a tulip. Bottled March 2018.
Appearance: light golden hue with just the tiniest touch of haze. Head is a thin layer of white foam which dissipates quite quickly.
Smell: a light fruitiness, a light funkiness and a light earthiness. It's nice, but it's all a bit subtle.
Taste: a nice funkiness combined with just the tiniest hint of sour. There is some nice fruitiness in the middle (I admit I'm not super familiar with quince), with a somewhat heavy dose of medicinal phenolic character at the end. The finish actually works pretty well with the earthy and orchardy but somewhat subtle fruit character.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a huge bottle-conditioned carbonation and massive, if evanescent, creaminess. Sha-ZAM! Love it.
Overall: this beer is good, and it's definitely quaffable, but I would love it if it were a tad cleaner (maybe a hint less phenol) and a tad tarter.

Brewed with freshly picked Quince? New to me. Anyhoo, it pours a lovely golden orange, slightly clouded with a rocky white foam. Smells mostly of vinegar tartness, green apples, and a little funk. Flavor follows with an extra amount of funky flavor that I'm not familiar with and can only assume that quince is the culprit. Like a sour apple blended with barnyard funkiness. It's light, tart, but not overly soured, and very easy to drink. Another goodie from Little Beast. Cheers.
