Poured from 16oz can into my 8th Wonder chalice. No date on the can that I can see.
Appearance: light golden hue with just the tiniest wisp of haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: quite sweet, as is expected of the style, along with a rather citrusy and earthy hop aroma. Not bad!
Taste: definitely plenty of sweetness here with perhaps a bit of caramel character as well. Hops are lemony, and the caramel and lemon actually work together pretty well here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. To be honest, I might have expected a bit more body with this level of malt sweetness.
Overall: a decent “classic” imperial IPA; though there’s not a lot new or exciting here, there’s a good balance between sweetness and hoppiness.

Undated can, bought at New Seasons Market in Vancouver, WA. The NSM team there are good on keeping their stock up to date, so we'll go with it being fresh.
Light amber pour, thin and rapidly fading head. A heady floral nose, with apple-orchard fruit notes besides. Tempered bitterness, but still in IIPA territory. A touch of harshness on the finish, very prominent on the follow up. Has a bit of the heavy and hot taste from the 8% ABV. Overall a respectable offering tempered by lacking the smoothness of others.
