A treat. A PNW og with a fresh hop spin that can definitely nuke the palate. Imbibe sparingly if you don’t want an oiled up hop
Blasted palate afterward. Delicious.

 

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel pale malt, citrus, piney and light tropical fruit hops, orange, pine and mild mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus, tropical fruit and piney hops, mixed tropical fruit, lime, lemon, light pine and a little dankness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A fresh hop that straddles the boundary of pale ale and IPA; more complexity than the former, but a bit subdued for the latter. Follows the current trend where West Coast style includes some fruit elements, which makes the hop bill a little muddled, but interesting, probably mostly due to the Mosaic hops. Refreshing and with the delightful fresh herbal flavor of a fresh hop ale. I was hoping for more pine dominance due to the name, but it has a satisfactory pine quality, particularly in the finish.
