This is a true Kölsch in looks, smell and taste. Pours out to a generous white head and crystal clear golden color. Aroma is of white wine grapes, soft clean pale malts and a hint of floral hops. Flavor is spot on with a sweet front end of malt and fruit and a clean, balancing subtle hop bitterness. Feels great. Overall the Twisted Spike...sorry for the word play...NAILED IT. The crew at Twisted Spike would do well to invest in some authentic Kölsch "stange" cylinder glasses to serve this work of art.
