Pours an effervescent ebony with 3 fingers of cocoa colored head. Nice lacing & above average head retention
S: Roasty, a little smoke, some lactic sourness
T: Follows the nose, dryness, l pronounced lactic sourness up front. Lactic sourness, a little smoke & roastyness, just a touch of woody hops, plus dryness as this warms, a little cocoa on the edges. Finishes dry with slight lactic sourness & smokeyness
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation
Drinks pretty easy, solid example of the style

Pours to a tan head that falls to a thin ring and leaves a bit of lace. Deep
brown ruby. Aroma is sweet malts, toffee. Hint of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is clean and mild. Much more of a milk stout in texture and finish. Light body for style. Nice sessionable stout.
