Canned 02/29/2020. Leap Day Release! 100% Galaxy. First experience with Electric.
Pour looking like a Foggy Window offering from Monkish. Pale, opaque haze. The head is heavily frothed, rising up to two fingers above the body of the beer with huge amounts of clinging lace on the insides of the glass.
Familiar notes of Galaxy on the nose, predominantly characterizing grapefruit and mango. The hops have a mellow dankness, and a nice sweetness from the malt bill balances everything out really nicely. As it opens up a little more you really get a good influence of stone fruit notes as well.
The palate is pure fruit. Tropical, and bursting with juice. Mango stands out, as well as sweet orange juice, pineapple, and passion fruit. The hops barely come through, save for just a touch of spice on the tail.
The raw wheat does wonders to the mouthfeel of this. Very soft, with medium weight and a low carbonation. No lingering bitterness, just a touch of hop spice and boozy warmth as it goes down.
