Appearance: Pours a murky purple with a one finger mauve cap; leggy lace

Smell: Currants and plums; smells like a smoothie sour and it is hard to detect any Citra in the aromatics

Taste: Tart and sweet currant flavors forward with the plum aspect emerging; through the middle, the more sour elements push off the sweeter ones to some extent; the Citra is there, in the finish, with a subtle but distinct pithy citrus contribution

Mouthfeel: Thick mouthfeel with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: A tasty smoothie sour although I am not sure about the Citra hopping

16oz can from Tavour. Murky indigo pour, ring of pink foam. Deep fruity aroma, currants, plums. Taste is sweet, currants, a touch of tartness. Really thick creamy body. They're calling this a sour farmhouse IPA, but it could pass as a smoothie sour for sure. So damn tasty!

Sweet and tart, subdued floral-berry, and hint of hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows with a juicy-sweet, black currant tartness upfront...and then a hint of hoppy bitterness on the finish. Some very faint vanilla notes start to show up as it warms. This is juicy and has pretty good depth and mouthfeel. It just a little out of balance with the sour/tart notes clashing with the hoppy notes at the end of the swallow.

Oh my sweet hell... Dang sucker pours an intoxicatingly beautiful deep purple like the nymph’s eyes I dreamt about last night. Yes. The aroma then speaks to me like an oh so close, yet distant fantasy. I want you, but can I truly have you? The taste is like waking up next to her; her, the one you have always adored and desired. And at this moment, you can still taste her lip gloss on you. Feel... Can I? Can I truly define this? Moving side by side with her in every motion until you both end.

And If I “ended” tonight, after drinking this I’m not sure if I would be that sad.

Be well.
