16oz can. Devoid of dating information.
Kidney bean purple colored body, which is turgid and thick. Long lived foamy head coating, in a brown/purple color. Leaves behind a coating of fruit pulp.
Aroma is expressive with smells of raspberry, black currant, vanilla, chocolate, and plum. A bit of bourbon barrel.
Taste is very sweet, with flavors of raspberry, plum, vanilla, black currant, and an undercurrent of chocolate. Expresses as tart but still very sweet. In the aftertaste the essence of the bourbon barrel aged vanilla beans is revealed; the vanilla expresses more of an earthy tone rather than overly sweet.
Very thick mouthfeel. Sticky, and mouth coating. ABV% is well hidden. Supportive carbonation.
Lactose brings some tartness but the fruit and vanilla additions add the most flavors. Chocolate is there but more earthy that sweet. Very thick concoction, call be called a "slushie" for sure. Far away from what is considered to be 'beer'.
