Pours a hazy golden color, unfiltered like all the house beers. Pale malt and piny/citric hops make up the aroma. Taste starts off sweet, pale malt and caramel presence. Not certain if caramel malt is used but it certainly tastes like it, one of the sweeter pilsener's I've had up front. A profusion of hop flavor comes in strong, I get notes of pine and citrus, mainly grapefruit. Robust bitterness complements the finish and nicely balances the sweetness. Easy drinking, medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Final thoughts: This has quickly become a go-to at Willibrew. A great beer overall, nicely balanced and lots going on with the flavor. Bitterness is significant relative to other pilsener's I've tried, If you're not a fan of bitter beers you probably won't enjoy this much. Otherwise, highly recommended.

On tap at the Brew-Pub

A: light golden, with a modest head, but excellent messy lacing

S: hoppy hops galore, this is a thunderous nose that competed with NEBCo's Gold Stock and the VEG IPA, which were also on the table

T: definitely a pilsener taste in that its light on the palate, but the finishing hop bitterness is superb, really enjoying this beer

M: light and playful on the palate, a tad heavy for a true pilsener, but with this hop load, I love it

D: was really tempted to pick up a growler of this one, drinkability is high and I would love to have this one available year round

favorite 'pilsener' I've tasted to date

Off the tap at brewing co. this beer was a cloudy/murky copper color. There was no head by the time it arrived at my table and no lacing either consequently. The aroma was of dry Vienna malt, pilsner malt, Saaz hops and a light mustiness. The flavors were complex, starting with sweet and caramel malt it then went towards tart sour apples, citrus hops, alcohol, oak and a bitter finish. The mouthfeel was watery, the body medium and the carbonation flat. Good flavors but the rest needed work.

L: Pours a golden yellow color with a short but thick white colored head that laces the glass nicely on the way down.
S: Smells of sweet toasted malts, then a nice hoppy aroma to finish.
T: Tastes like it smells, sweet toasted malts, then a nice big hoppy flavor to finish this up. Not too hoppy though, just right.
M: Very crisp, smooth, fresh, refreshing, perfect amount of carbonation.
D: Very drinkable, I would recommend this to anyone. The flavors are all there in a really nice balance.
