A - a dark brown head on a black body. Good retention, decent lace.
S - dark, malty aromas of coffee and bittersweet chocolate.
T - light, dry caramel up front with some chocolate. More caramel and a bit of coffee in the middle. Finishes with dark caramel, chocolate and some smoky licorice.
M - medium body, moderate carbonation and a dry finish.
D - a well crafted porter, the chocolate is readily apparent and the dry finish helps it stay drinkable.

On-tap at the brewpub.
A: Radiant dark ruby-brown body with a thin cap of fine tan foam. Nice lace. Attractive.
S: A little uninteresting, but not bad: chocolate, caramel malt, and butterscotch. Sweet, but not terribly aromatic.
T: Sweet and smooth, with lots of butterscotch and cocoa. Only the faintest hint of herbal hoppiness on the tail end - this might be the least hoppy Willimantic beer I've ever encountered. Quite tasty.
M: Smooth, finely carbonated medium body. Enjoyable.
O: This was a nice, drinkable, solid porter. Nothing truly memorable, but eminently enjoyable. Give it a shot.
Cheers!
